Around a year ago Bigcartel allowed users to edit their checkout process where I was able to add the PayPal smart checkout buttons. Suddenly out of nowhere the bigcartel checkout isn’t customizable and the smart buttons were removed and replaced by a pay with PayPal button which confuses users who do not have PayPal. The smart buttons allowed users to pay by debit card on the same screen. Bigcartel pretends that they have no idea how I edited the checkout because they claim the check out was never customizable and they have no clue how to put the smart buttons back and that I should contact PayPal. PayPal claims they have nothing to do with how the buttons appear on big cartel even though a developer for PayPal is who released the integration. Wow is all I can say about getting anything resolved. Has anyone managed to figure out how to get smart buttons on the bigcartel checkout?
