Checkout errors, retunes back to website with failed transaction.

This is just one of MANY attempts to get support from PayPal with regards to my issue. It seems near impossible to get ahold of someone, so hoping I can get some help here.
We own a site called StitchDelight.net and are having trouble with payments failing. Customers report that after they filled in all the info and went through the payment process they are being redirected back to our site with an error stating there was a problem and they need to try again later.
From what I could gather this issue seems to be happening across all platforms and browsers, but intermittently. The same customer can have an issue now, and then have a successful transaction a few hours later. We're hosted with Shopify and their support team confirmed PayPal is setup correctly.
If anyone could please point me in the right direction to have a chat with PayPal support or know of a possible solution.
