Hello, So i finished integrating paypal into my website for accepting payments and decided to make a test payment with €1.18 euro. The payment went through successfully but a fee of €0.4 euro was deducted from the money I received. How is this possible? This is almost 35% paypal fee. It is ridiculous, i know there is an anomaly somewhere. Can someone please tell me why paypal is charging such amounts in fees. Can i go ahead to start accepting real payments on my website with such huge fees?

The fee is made up of a '% amount' and a 'fixed fee' amount.
As the 'fixed fee' amount is 30p then if you receive a very small amount the fee will be high.
You receive £10 instead and that 30p will hardly notice.
Why don't you actually read the FEES page first?
