What is the difference between Braintree and Paypal?

Hello,

please correct me if I'm wrong, we can also receive payments on Paypal via virtual pos credit cards and debit cards. I know that Braintree's main purpose is payment gateway, so what exactly is the rationale for using Braintree when using Paypal?

In addition, I would like to inform you that I could not register with Braintree. There is no registration button on the site and even though I filled out the contact form a few days ago, I did not receive a response. I don't know how things are there.

Good day @Oguzhanx,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal community.

Braintree is a full-stack payments platform that makes it easy to accept payments in your app or website. Our service replaces the traditional model of sourcing a payment gateway and merchant account from different providers. From single-touch payments to mobile SDKs and foreign currency acceptance, we provide everything you need to start accepting payments today.

Merchants in the US can use Braintree to accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, and most credit and debit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB, Diner’s Club, and UnionPay.
