AMEX credit card missing as preferred method of payment on Paypal during transaction

Hi,

I had entered my AMEX credit card details as the preferred method of payment on Paypal but when I went to purchase a flight ticket on Qatar Airways  and as soon as Qatar Airways transferred me to the Paypal website for payment, the AMEX credit card doesn't show up at all as part of the selection for payment on my paypal account. I've logged into my Paypal account manually, tripled checked my Paypal account and my AMEX credit card details is definitely saved on my account .  I was wondering if anyone had encountered this problem before and could offer some solid guidance.  Last month, I had used the same AMEX card to purchase something online and there was no issue - I am very perplexed about this as it has never happened before.  I have tried 3 times purchasing from the same merchant to no avail.

Thank you for your post and welcome to our Community Forum!

In general, our system reviews every payment before it's completed and sometimes, for security reasons, a payment method may be made unavailable. Unfortunately, we would not be able to manually change the security settings. However, you can try clearing your cache and cookies, deleting your browser history and waiting for 48 hours without accessing your account to let the system reset. This may help you solve the issue.
