Hello everyone,
did a quick search and could not find any relevant results so posting a question as I cannot get through to Paypal support.
In short, I've sent a gift to a friend (well I consider them family!) which I have done before i.e. a few thousand USD as they recently moved to Boston and have just purchased their forever home. On this occasion, after I sent the money, I started receiving texts from Paypal which is a new thing.
It's telling me a reply is needed, unfortunately, the reply is to a shortform number (62226) which is not possible on my mobile phone network. As a result I need an alternative way of confirming this was me or need to know if this can be safely ignored?
It says the payment is complete but haven't heard back from my friend yet if the amount has made it to them.
