Cancel echeque payment sent on PayPal.me

A customer has sent me payment for goods as an echeque and he won’t wait for it to clear before I give him the goods. I can’t find a way to cancel and he says he can’t either. Anyway either of us can do this?

You would need to wait for it to clear and then issue a refund.
