I recently had a PayPal transaction declined and received an email saying that they would automatically do the transfer again in 3 business days, but I’ve already paid with a different form of payment. How can I prevent this transaction from automatically happening?
When you have a failed bank transfer then paypal will try in a few days time (its automatic), then if that fails they use your back up funding source.
If in the meantime you have cleared that negative balance then if its 'cleared' they may not try but if its 'pending' awaiting your funds to clear it then whichever payment arrives second acts as a credit to your balance.
