Failed Transactions

So Earlier today I was trying to make a purchase in a game I play. I've used paypal before without issue, but now any time I try to complete a transaction I get "There was an error charging your payment method." Like I've said I've used paypal on this game many many time, and absolutely nothing has changed on my account.

Later I was watching a live stream and wanted to send a tip through Streamlabs, but every time I tried processing the payment I would get an error that my transaction was missing a token. "missing payment token" was the exact error and then "Transaction failed".

I gave up and tried sending the tip through Superchat instead, and what would you know! It worked immediately without issue.

Later when I checked my paypal account, I see the Superchat payment processed instantly, but I also have a bunch of pending transactions for the Streamlabs attempts that all failed. Of course I've opened disputes for the failed transactions since they shouldn't be charged anyways.

I'm left with the question: Why is Paypal broken pretty much everywhere I've tried to use it EXCEPT Google/Youtube?

There are several factors why your payment got declined. Check below article for possible reasons:

Thanks, but the link you provided didn't give any information I didn't already know or is of any use.

I've been using paypal for 17 years now, and have made countless purchases without issue. My account is and has always been in good standing.

Now suddenly places I've used paypal to make instant payments for years now are all failing to make any transactions at all.
