How long does it take for a refund to appear from Lloyds bank?

Hi guys, a seller refunded me as I didn't receive an item. However, he didn't have paypal balance and had to send the refund from his bank account. And now, the refund shows up for me as pending and it gives me an estimate of a week for it to arrive. His bank is Lloyds.

How long would it take for Lloyds to clear the refund on their side?

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.

Normally takes 5-7 working days to clear through to paypal > bank account.
