Hello. I’m selling 10 pairs of shoes and the buyer requested that I create an invoice. Is it a safe way to ensure the buyer will pay me? If I create an invoive, will I receive payment before I ship the shoes or after the buyer receive them?

you create an invoice and send it to him,he wil pay and then you ship with tracking.

if 750 or more, signature is required besides tracking

Be VERY careful, sometimes they ask you to send an invoice and then send you a spoof paypal payment saying that they have paid when they haven't.

So make sure the funds are SHOWING in your paypal account balance before you send anything.

Thank you! The credits are shown as “Pending” in my account. I just went to the post office to send the package. I received this message from paypal “Your money is APPROVED. You will have access to use your money once the package is delivered.” Does that look ok?

did you print your shipping label on Paypal?

if not,how does it know you have shipped unless you upload tracking.

paypal emails ended with paypal.com.

with new seller or selling outside y our price range,Paypal will hold payment up to 21 days or at least 3 days after tracking shows delivered.

just so you know,USPS has a feature, for a fee ,you can either go to a pst office or online and request the package t o be returned to you or withheld at local post office for further instruction from you, this is for domestic shipment only.

fee is 13.95

ten pairs of shoes,it sounds like a business order for resale.

The buyer is in a rush. I sent him the reference number and he sent it to paypal. That’s why paypal knows that I shipped the package.

As i said its probably this scam............

This is a typical scam ..................

They encourage you to accept a 'direct' Paypal payment and may ask you to send the item internationally.
No funds or activity of the transaction shows in your Paypal account and any emails 'may' go into your junk or spam folders.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't because they don't actually have a Paypal account and have no intention of paying you.
It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.
They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.
Paypal do not tell you to send trackable, they advise it for selling protection but it is not compulsory.
Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

what reference number?a tracking number ?

that's not the way it works, you either print label on PAYPAL and the tracking number is there ,or you upload it yourself if you did not print on Paypal.

there is no need to send anything to Paypal.

PAYPAL does not care unless he files a dispute, then it would get involved

did you see the money in your Paypal account?

click on that invoice you sent and see if it said it has been paid,if it has, then your paypal balance should reflect that.

it may say withheld but the payment should be in your account
