PayPal Me Fees?!

Hi all, Wondering if anyone can shed some light. My PayPal Me is set up friends & family, my friend sent me money last night & was charged a fee. She told me she used my link so how is this happening? I send this link to people regularly so do not want to be charged fees. TIA

It's good to know that you find the Paypal.Me option useful. 

There is no fee for using the link, however, if you have a PayPal Business account or the person paying you opts for PayPal Purchase Protection – the payment is a “Goods and Services” payment. That means you’ll pay the standard PayPal fee (2.9% + $0.30).

Hello @Shel7 , I hope you're doing fine. 

I know it might be confusing sometimes, if your friend used your paypal.me link and chose sent to a friend or family there should be no fee on both end. However you might wanna ask your friend if he/she used a debit or a credit card as a funding source, that might be the reason why he was charged a fee. 

For now we can only give you possible reasons since we do not have access to your account. It would be better for you to contact our chat support for now.
