PayPal Philippines Cebu Pacific Payment

Hi PayPal community. I booked a flight through Cebu Pacific website yesterday, March 3, 2020 and paid via PayPal. PayPal acknowledges and sent me a receipt. Although, in Cebu pacific’s website it says in transaction history that status is declined. CLEARLY, money was already deducted in my PayPal account. From my CebuPacific Getgo account, it stated that the money paid will automatically be reversed. Although, until now no money has been returned to me yet. Time is of the essence to me since I need to fly by Thursday, March 5 (Philippine time). Anyone have experience on this? Or can suggest to ease anxiety. Thanks.

Hello, @ayanagm. Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! Thanks for taking the time to post your question here about refunds. Although it appears this reply is coming after the deadline you mentioned, I hope the information is helpful for future reference.

 

In a situation such as the one you described, PayPal would process a refund as soon as the merchant indicated the transaction should be reversed. As you noted with the information from your CebuPacific Getgo account, the process is automatic. However, while PayPal processes refunds through our System as soon as possible, it could take some time for a credit to be posted on an account such as your Getgo account.
