Long story short, sold a MacBook on eBay didn’t ship item out but next thing you know my PayPal account goes negative because it was unauthorized Transaction by the buyer. I’m still now having to pay the transaction fee? Not fair, PayPal. How is this ethical?

PayPal no longer refunds the fees. We all agreed to their policy and when they updated the policy last year, by staying on but we all within our right to close our accounts if we don't agree.
There are risks to selling online and if you want to get involved in this line of work, self-insure against these types of situations. Put aside a percentage of each sale to cover fees/disputes. Or, find a payment processor that does refund fees if there are any out there.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
