Hi I have a question about buying stuff with paypal, I'm about to receive money and i currently dont have a card/bank linked to my account. Will I still be able to purchase using only my balance? It says on the checkout page that I need to have a card linked but I dont want it to take money from the card, I want to use my balance. Thanks to whoever answers! im new here please help 🙂

See if you have this available in your country.

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your preferred way to pay and put a dot in the balance option.

Then as long as the funds are cleared and not pending AND in the correct currency for the transaction then you should be able to use the balance BUT sometimes paypal require you to use a card OR have it as a back up funding source to verify your account.
