Hello 🙂 New to Paypal and somehow not able to find an answer to an obvious problem re refund . I have PLN and € account. Payments arrive mostly on €. I have a refund to make in € but there is 0 in my balance actually. Wired a sufficient amount in PLN . And in €. This later amount was converted in PLN and added into my PLN account.... still 0 on my € account. When trying to refund my customer who paid in €, it says constantly insufficient funds... No option to change , nothing. Feel like Don Cichotte and my good customer in Australia feels unhappy. Sounds like a simple problem, how can a company like Paypal not have an easy solution for this ?  Only way to communicate seems message, which I did Thursday afternoon. No answer. Re-sent today as I am an optimist. Would really appreciate help as I am sure I am not the only one in this simple situation ? Thank you !!!!

Firstly you normally don't need funds in your balance for a refund as paypal will take directly from your bank account.

However even if you had funds in your balance you would need enough to cover the 'fee' as well as that is not returned as part of any issued refund.

Lastly when you add funds to your paypal balance from a bank account it can take up to a week but funds leave your bank account up to a few hours > few days later. Paypal funds go via ACH in batches which is the slowest option which is why when you PURCHASE something they credit the seller upfront and paypal take the wait.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hey, thank you for your help. In my case it was the problem that I had enough funds in my PLN account, but none in my Euro account... Tried to swift € into my Paypal € account, only to see they converted it into PLN and put it in my PLN account which was not helpful. I finally got a message back from Paypal that explained how to convert PLN into EURO in my account. And then I could do my refund

Merry Xmas to you !
