Problems with Lufthansa (payment never authorised)

Hi community,
I've read old threads and this seems to be an issue with this particular company (Lufthansa).
I've booked a flight online with them, and they have a PayPal payment option available. I had to use it because I could not pay with my debit card, despite the fact that they make this payment possible but in the last step, it says 'it is not possible, you need to use a credit card.' Strange! Anyways, it worked with PayPal, but then Lufthansa contacted me to say that the booking is to be cancelled as I never paid for it. I expalined the payment method used and they said that probably the bank blocked this withdrawal from PayPal on my bank account. This is not true, the bank does not know about any, ANY, attempt of withdrawal. It seems that Lufthansa never auhtorised the payment in the first time. My question is, how can I prove that it's them who never authorised the payment? I'd like to book a flight again but I'm worried this will happen again, and PayPal will be blamed, when actually Lufthansa is not attempting to process this payment. Any way of making a point when contacting them?

I have the same problem booking with Lufthansa on Aug 26. Did Lufthansa call you? or I should call them to make sure if the tickets are booked?

This is the second time I wanted to process a payment with PayPal on Lufthansa and for the second time I didn't succeed.
Not a consumer friendly way: you have to fly, but don't get a confirmation and have to start the process all over again?

To anyone who has the same issue, I just called Lufthansa and they said it is just a problem with PayPal. If you have a confirmation email and the tickets then it should be fine.
