About 3 weeks ago I purchased an item on eBay, however I couldn't finish the payment because the seller didn't add shipping. They told me they couldn't update the item's shipping due to some error, and after some back and forth with no success, I suggested we do it through Paypal instead. I thought Paypal and eBay were the same company so I thought it was okay, until eBay told me it was against their ToS. The seller sent me a paypal.me link so I just clicked it, entered the amount and sent it, forgotten completely about the family and friends or goods payment type.
Anyway long story short, it's been about 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from them, and Paypal just keeps replying to my messages with automated replies that explain to me what a personal payment is, ignoring the proof I'm sending them that show this transaction was intended for a purchase and not for donating money to some stranger I knew for 10 minutes.
So that's pretty much my story. Is there anything else I can do to resolve this?

If the status on your payment says "Money Sent" as opposed to "Payment Sent" there is nothing PayPal can do for you because you sent money as friends and family, no refunds or purchase protection. It don't matter what you put on it in the notes. You can actually call customer service to speak with a dispute specialist, and point out that the payment is for goods and services to them and see what they say but as you know, you can lead a horse to water....but can you make it drink? But hey I can be proved wrong and it will be your lucky day.
