I have tried to send some money to a local friend we met when we visited Bali. The money is in her PayPal balance but she can't withdraw it or send it back.
She has tried to withdraw it to her bank account but has got an email from PayPal saying there was a problem with her account information. Her bank BNI has been less than helpful. I have tried to talk her through it but the language barrier has been a bit of a struggle! She has tried to add her Debit card but there was no option for debit only. There was options for Visa Mastercard, American Express etc. I have requested the money back through PayPal, hoping that would be easier, but the Send Payments Now button is greyed out. This then comes back to the debit card problem. Surely a debit only card can be added to PayPal so money can be transferred.
Please help as we are trying to help out a local family struggling without tourist dollars!!!
