The buyers funding source decides whether an echeque is sent or not.
All payments from bank accounts are echeques but paypal makes it 'instant transfer' by crediting the seller upfront and then paypal wait for the bank transfer to complete through to them.
Echeques or electronic transfers are slower than wire transfers but paypal use them because they are cheaper.
That is why they credit the seller upfront so that the buyer does not have a long wait for the dispatch of their item.
However there are some instances when buyer and seller take the wait...........
Buyers.........
1. Card needs updating.
2. Has had a recent negative balance.
3. A recent failed bank transfer.
4. For some high cost riskier payments / transactions.
5. Friends / family payments....funded from a bank account.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
