Hi. Trying to buy a Spotify Premium gift card for someone. I paid using my Revolut card, as the currency conversion rate from GBP to EUR was cheaper that way. Payment was declined, the message said international payments weren't being accepted and try later. My Revolut card was charged. How can I reverse the charge? Thanks

Hi @Boobee1
Thank you for raising your concern through our community forum.
I know it can be concerning having to identify a payment hitting your bank although the order did not push through. Let me explain to you how order authorizations works.
When processing payments there will first be an Authorization, where the account or credit card used is simply hit to ensure the funds are available. Then that Authorization is Captured which is when the funds actually moved from one account to another.
It sounds like an authorization is ran on your account, but then the checkout failed prior to finalizing the capture portion of the process. This would leave this pending authorization on your account, and it might even look like it took the money, but in reality an authorization that has not been captured will be released back to you after short period of time (max of 30 days)
Again, though, the authorization has not been captured so you will not actually lose that money. It just might sit in a "holding" status for a few days until the authorization expires.
Hope this has put your mind at ease. Stay safe!
