Hi, I am checking on here first as I don't want to clog their lines up if not urgent. I paid for a couple of transactions via PayPal to TUI for my holiday in March which i did not go on due to COVID 19. TuI sent me an email confirming a refund on the 17th but still nothing. Would i be able to claim through PayPal even though the transactions are over 180 days? Thank you
This is not right. Over 180 days but the transaction has not been completed because my holiday was cancelled due to covid19. Think I’ll use a credit card next time. Thanks.
I phoned Tui yesterday for the first time and I spoke to a guy and my refund had slipped the system and he was going to email the finance dept to get the ball rolling. Good luck 😉
Just letting anyone know my mate phoned up TUI and am getting my money back. I think it helped because I made a case with PayPal about this. Just phone tui and but my mate as on hold for 2 hours
TUI are saying that PayPal is effectively glitchy in processing refunds. Currently I have had my unwanted credit voucher cancelled (So they could transact a credit) but then they couldn’t actually process the credit to PayPal and won’t do it direct to the card. So at the moment I am in limbo awaiting a call from their finance team, apparently with many others (bearing in mind the lack of call back last time I am not hopeful). So be wary. Certainly won’t use PayPal for something like this again.
I had 2 PayPal payments. 1 under 180 days and 1 over 180 days. I opened a dispute with PayPal for the under 180 days payment and got my money from Tui via PayPal in 12 days. Still waiting for just under £4000 from Tui. Thanks
