my pending order with Argos

hello . i have been using Argos for many years without a single problem . today i ordered 3 items , clicked pay with PayPal . then was told by Argos that they are having technical difficulties please try again later. upon checking my bank there was a debit taken from my account for the amount of the order . upon logging into PayPal i saw the invoice and it said it was pending . i then live chatted with Argos who told me there we no order in their system . they told me to contact my bank who told me to contact PayPal who told me to contact Argos . a vicious circle indeed . how long do I have to wait for PayPal to realise that there is no order in place ( The invoice proves there was ) and how long does pending remain on the PayPal invoice for ? my money seems to be in limbo , it has already been debited from my account . has anyone else had this problem

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
