I have some DKK and EUR in my account which I decided to spend. I did 9 transactions before I noticed that PayPal didn't use the currency I chose, instead they took money from my credit card and changed currency. PayPal used their own currency exchange rate. Instead of the banks rate which I set up as default. I can't find any explanation why they did this. Also I can not find a way to deactivate this behavior. I then checked my previous orders and I noticed when payment has been in NOK (my local currency), PayPal has used my foreign currencies in my wallet and converted them to NOK. Im always cautious when selecting payment method and make sure to select the most beneficial method. I could of course do a mistake a few times. But I didn't do a mistake 11/11 times. Does anyone know why PayPal is doing this? Is there anything I can do about it? I never want to use PayPals currency exchange rates.
