Cancelled Amazon transaction stuck in Pending.

I recently cancelled an order from Amazon and got the message from them confirming the cancellation. However, in my Paypal account it still says the transaction is Pending/Authorizing even after a couple days giving me no access to that money. I used the Paypal Cash Card to place the order initially. I contacted Paypal support and was told to contact Amazon support and tell them to cancel the transaction from their account which lead to no results as they just assured me that it has been cancelled and that it could take 7-10 business days for the Authorization to clear based on Paypal's return policy for debit cards. They then told me to contact Paypal again claiming it is really on their end.

Is there really no way to expedite this process and am I stuck waiting 7-10 days to get my money back in my account? Has anyone dealt with this before? It just seems a little ridiculous to me to have to wait so long when both parties can agree the transaction has been cancelled.

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.

Hello. Having the same issue here and it has been 10 days since the order was confirmed cancelled. Did you ever get the funds back? Did you really have to wait 30 days? 😕

I am having this problem with a cancelled Verizon Wireless order (cancelled due to issues/limitations related to COVID-19). Paypal tying up $1420.51 of my money. It has been 26 days including weekend days. Is it true I have to wait 30days?! If so, is that 30 business days or 30 days including weekends?

This is pretty unacceptable, I am looking for alternatives to Paypal as they take way too many liberties with putting holds on customers' cash. They regularly delay or limit funds transfers with no rhyme or reason as to why.
