Google play gift card to continue transaction?

I have an individual who needs to pay me a sum of money but are saying because they own a business account, PayPal need a “code” to process the transaction. It seems like a scam to me but I just wanted to confirm before buying anything. The individual has also sent screenshot “proof” of how the money is pending in the account but needs the code to validate, I have not received any money to my account though, nor have I received an email or text confirmation of this payment. They have also sent further screenshots of them paying other people and the other individuals have received the money?? I’m very lost

Scam. PayPal does not have you give the buyer a code of any kind to receive or show the money in your account IF the buyer REALLY PAID. The record of payment just shows up, whether the funds be available right away or subject to a PayPal hold, you should still see a record of payment. PayPal also does not ask you to buy a gift card and provide the code to them. Providing tracking info is optional and done through the record of payment itself in your PayPal account activity. Not through email.

how about me they send me a screenshot to prove that they send me a money but before I received the money I need to purchase first a Google play card worth of 20$ the screenshot that they send it comes from there account and it has a PayPal Logo in the upper
