'Grab' in Singapore, PayPal "Sorry, we weren't able to set up pre-approved payments at this time".

Trying to setup paypal for use with Grab in Singapore, the transport company (like Uber). I got a paypal message "Sorry, we weren't able to set up preapproved payments at this time". Help?

In general, there may be multiple reasons why you would not be able to set up a pre-approved payment with PayPal. The most common reason, though, it that our security system may prevent you from completing the action as a security matter. In that case, I would recommend clearing your cache and cookies, deleting your browser history and waiting for 48 hours without accessing the account to let the system reset. If this does not work, please reach out to our Customer Service directly.
