Minecraft missing transaction ID

So my dad bought a minecraft account using paypal for my brother years back and about a year ago now the email got changed aswell as the password. I have been told to find the transaction ID which I really am struggling to do, in the transaction history there was nothing there and I really need this account back. I have been emailed by Mojang  to contact paypal support in retrieving my missing transaction ID. Please help me get this back, thanks.

Thanks for reaching out! I'm so sorry to hear about your current situation. I know it can be tough when trying to regain access to a compromised account. You'll want to give our Customer Support a call to find the transaction ID. I'd first try to find the transaction by the funding source used. If you're unsure what funding source was used, you'll then want to search by the email address used to checkout with. Lastly, I'd recommend searching your email inboxes in hopes for an email from PayPal with the transaction ID. Ideally, the best information you can provide our Support Reps to find the transaction would be a specific time-frame and the funding source that was used. From there they can resend the receipt or download a history log for you.
