Hello.

I have been looking at my summary on PayPal and I have a couple of isses

1. It says a pre-approved payment has gone through, but I still have the money available according to NatWest

2. I have a pending e-cheque payment that was supposed to go through yesterday but hasn't. I also have no idea why it was even done as an echeque to begin with. I used a link to pay the person over paypal and it's done an echeque which is annoying and takes ages

Im very confused and peed off. Can someone help me with these issues?

Transfers from bank accounts are never instant, that is why when you buy something paypal credit the seller upfront for you and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer to pay them back again, this is so you get your item without delay.

However they only take that 'risk' if you have never had a failed bank transfer or negative balance if you have then you would take the wait that time instead of paypal.

They also sometimes send 'echeques' if its a more risky or high value transaction or you don't have a back up linked card.

Takes 5-7 working days to transfer as Paypal use the slowest (cheapest) transfer option BUT funds normally leave your bank account from a few hours up to a few days later.
