I set up my paypal key as a payment method with venmo. I've been trying to pay a friend using it in Venmo and it keeps getting declined. The Card information is correct, I've triple checked. I have my discover card set up as my method of preferred payment, just as I do my regular paypal wallet. Why isn't it working?
I am having the exact same problem. I'm trying to use PayPal Credit with mine. It keeps telling me that there's an error with the billing address verification. I've triple-checked it, tried using the full 9 digit zip code instead of the 5, chatted with PayPal customer support who said my address is current and correct on their end and that there should be no problems with my account, tried another browser, tried auto-filling with my password manager, tried manually typing it all in, checked with the vendor I was trying to pay, and I've been at this for THREE DAYS. Still no luck. *sigh*
I had the exact same problem. I turned a credit card into a debit card via paypal key and tried to pay my friend in Venmo, it always get declined. But I think it's actually reasonable. Venmo belongs to Paypal, if we are able to pay everyone in Venmo with Paypal Key, that's actually a cash advance and it's of high risk.
But, yeah, sad that can not take advantage of Paypal Key
