eCheck deposit

Hello, I received a payment from a friend for 220$, and she accidentally sent it as echeck. Today is the scheduled release date, and I’ve still received nothing. I’m not an eBay seller or anything, it was a payment to help me out, which you can assume I really need. Anyone have any insight as to when it’ll be released into my acct? Is it the time she initiated the payment? (8:16pm EST Jan 19) ? Or does PayPal have their own release times? Thanks!

When you pay a 'seller' then its never instant, paypal credit that seller upfront and paypal take the wait for the funds to transfer from the buyers bank account etc.

However if its a friends / family payment from a bank account then its you that takes the wait for the funds to transfer. The date given is an estimate as different banks have different clearance times, however its normally on that day or the following one in my experience.

Well, it’s a 12:40am 1/25 and the website still says 1/24 as clearing date and the payment is still pending!!!! Why!!! Ughhh

Well i said it 'may' clear around the 25th but not we are in to a weekend so hopefully Monday?
