priceline hotels holds

tried to book a room on priceline as soon as i hit the button to pay i get a notice saying hotel sold out but yet they are holding the money on my paypal card, their is a hold authorization on my acct lady at priceline says i need to contact my bank or someone at priceline to figure out who can remove the hold off of my funds in paypal.I need help im out of a room and they are holding up my money so unfair

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment. However the money would be pending in your funding source ie bank account / card, so if you contact them and state the funds will not be required they should be able to release them back to your available balance again.

wow 30 days is a long time for hotel holds you think they would release after checkout
