Can't sign up for Zettle - EIN and SSN Required

Trying to sign up for Zettle.  Enter EIN but can't continue without SSN.  Yet PayPal Help states:

A TIN can be a Social Security Number (SSN), Employer Identification Number (EIN), or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN.)

How do I proceed with Zettle with EIN and no SSN?

Agree. It’s nonsense. I don’t hand out my SSN online for good reason.

They have kept my ENTIRE paycheck since the beginning of the year because I won't give them my SSN.  ALL OF IT.  There is nothing I can do, because apparently they are all powerful.  The IRS says I don't have to legally give it to them.  PayPal says they will release my funds when I give them my SSN.  What does THAT sound like to you???  It's exactly why I don't want to give them any of my sensitive information.  I don't trust them, and this is why.  They originally said they would be releasing my funds in April (minute the 24%), but now they're saying June!  MY ENTIRE PAYCHECK.
