Pay in 4 took full payment. Chat says I was denied I was approved at checkout

I used the pay in 4 option on rockauto.com. It was supposed to be 4 payments of $165.75 but it charged a payment (pending on bank account) and the full $665 (also currently pending) to my bank account. Spoke with chat and my customer service rep claims I was denied and that's why it charged the full amount. I was approved and it let me check out via the pay in 4 option in which I agreed to not the full amount. I would have not made the full purchase at this time if it would have denied me. Nothing told me anywhere that this was an option. Has anyone been through this and knows if my rep is wrong and maybe this will work out and the full amount will drop off or should I try and cancel this altogether. Any help is appreciated. I found where others experience this on here but no answers. Thank you
