Paying in 4 Issue

I have contacted Paypal several times now about this issue and I am getting nowhere!

In May 2023, I paid £236 towards my account consisting of: £102.69 remaining balance for GSF Car Parts, £22.22 remaining balance for Secret Escapes, £9 Samsung and £102 towards Merlin Attractions pay in 4.

On 8th May, I made a purchase of £650 from eBay on a 24-month installment plan ending in May 2025.

In June I made another payment to my account of £252, this should have paid towards and in accordance with the pay in 4 purchases, totalling £100 towards PPC Fusion, £100 towards Merlin Attractions, £9 towards Samsung, £27 towards the 24 installment plan for the ebay purchase and £16 credit from the previous month.

But Instead, when i have gone to pay this months payment, I can see that what you have actually paid was £250 towards the 24 month installment plan (which has now jumped from 24 to 17 installments remaining after only 2 months of taking this out) and paid nothing on either of the pay in 4 plans leaving £600 instead of £400 due by mid Aug. Assumingly, they will do the same thing again this month when I pay another £200+ on my account, adding a further £200 to the eBay purchase and therefore leaving me with £600 to find from somewhere by mid-August for the 2 pay in 4 plans!

How is this right?!

Hello @LiseN

Thank you for visiting the PayPal Community!

I completely understand your concern about the repayments in your PayPal account. You can make the extra or unscheduled payments by logging to your PayPal account and choosing the Pay in 4 plan you want to pay. Any payments paid towards that particular Pay in 4 plan will always reflect in your account. Under your Pay in 4 plan, you can see the amounts of your previous payments in your Plan Activity. You can also see the amounts of upcoming payments by clicking “See Upcoming Payments.” For any additional assistance, feel free to reach PayPal Support team

Best wishes,
