Payment in 30 days feature has gone

Hello.

I am having a problem that Paypal support team seems unable to solve so I thought to post here.

I have an active Paypal account since a year now connected to my debit bank card. For a year, I was able to use (Pay in 30 days option) for tens of purchases and my plans were paid without delays on time. So I guess that is what positive creditness is about. Three days ago, I made a purchase that I used to do before with the (pay in 30 days option) but I got an email from Paypal saying it can go on with the (Pay in 30 days option). I tried several stuff I used to buy the same way before but I always got direct payment where that option has worked in the past. So, Paypal team would say we can't change that but they also can't tell you why it is happening. So strange!

Moreover, No if I want to proceed with payment Paypal asks me to add Debit or credit card though it already has one. Can anyone help me figure what is going on?

Hi @Somar978,

Welcome to the Community Forum, and thank you for making your first post! I'm sorry to hear of the difficulty you've encountered making a payment with the payment methods that you would prefer to use.

Payment options that involve a repayment at a later date are not necessarily available on every purchase due to a few factors. One such factor is that a security and risk assessment is conducted on every transaction, and there may be factors, however minute, that would cause the system to determine that the transaction may not include that credit-based option. The same reason may apply to the use of the card in your wallet not being available for the transaction.

When this occurs, you may wish to try the transaction at a later date to allow a reassessment, or use a different method to re-attempt the transaction. If the transaction is again declined, it may not be possible to make the purchase using PayPal.

I am sorry for the inconvenience!

Olivia
