Target.com and Walmart.com cancelled my orders using PayPal Credit.

I was recently approved for PayPal Credit and set it as my default payment method. When I made my first couple of purchases afterwards through DoorDash, my bank account was charged instead. So, I figured I probably could only use it in certain circumstances. I then tried to purchase a $100 Playstation Store Gift card, first from Walmart.com and then from Target.com. Each site allowed me to pay with PayPal at checkout, and I even selected PayPal Credit. Both times I was charged, but then Walmart and Target cancelled the orders due to unusual activity or the orders being flagged for some reason.

What's up with that?

Hello @Zachlr,

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting!

I understand your concern about making payment via PayPal credit. PayPal Credit is meant to be used to purchase through the merchant websites and only if that merchant offers PayPal Credit as the payment method. Sometimes, payments can often be blocked or declined if we detect any unusual or suspicious activity. Some payments may be declined to help you protect from any possible fraudulent activity. In this case, you can try again at a later time.

Regards,
Ayesha
