gift aid opt-in

according to this paypal website :https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/not-for-profit-2 below it says

"GIFT AID ELIGIBLE

With PayPal, donors opt into Gift Aid by simply ticking a box. This declaration is then automatically applied to all future donations to your charity."

but we can't find this option when creating a fundraising link.

Is this option outdated?

Hello @hslliang

Welcome and thank you for joining the PayPal Community Forum. I can understand how setting these kind of things up can be a bit confusing. After a bit of research, it does look like this is an available option at this time. If you’d like to add Gift Aid to your donations, you normally need to complete a Gift Aid declaration in order for the tax to be reclaimed by PayPal Giving Fund and passed to your nominated charity. You can complete the declaration via the link in your donation receipt or by visiting www.paypal.com/donate/giftaid after logging into your account.

PayPal Giving Fund doesn’t take deductions from Gift Aid. We file for Gift Aid with HMRC after delivering the original donations. While there can be HMRC backlogs that delay us receiving the Gift Aid, we generally pass it on the month after the original donation is regranted.

I hope that helps!

I have setup PayPal Giving and I did a donation myself to test but it never asked me to do the Gift Aid declaration, is there a setting somewhere I need to do?
