Android PayPal app crashes continually

Hi PayPal app on Android Samsung S20+ continually crashes on opening, tried the usual "fixes"; Uninstall - clean install Cache cleared App updated Fast constant wireless connection Uninstalled from Play window Uninstall from phone apps Phone restart, any ideas as the problem is clearly with PayPal, let me know when the PayPal app is fit for purpose. On the upside I've found other really good payment platforms other than PayPal, so a loss to PayPal Cheers

I am sorry to hear that you have been having such issues with using our app. We did receive some reports over the last few days that some customers were having some issues but this has been since resolved. Has this been happening for the last few days or is it an ongoing issue?

I'm experiencing the same crashing issue on my samsung galaxy s10e.

Whenever i sign in and try to scroll, the app freezes and crashes.

Hi @xavier_r and welcome, 

It sounds like an update is needed. I would make sure your phone has the latest update installed as if it hasn't been updated it can lead to some apps that have been updated to a new version crashing. I would also check to ensure your PayPal app has been updated as it may be that you are using an older or outdated version.

I have multiple Paypal accounts with different regions. The first one works normally that's me home country(in South America), the crashes happen with the second account that's Europe where I stayed for some time. I can use the second accounton apple devices(iphone, ipad) and laptops with no issues, but the moment I log into my 10e the crashes happen. Maybe it's a location thing or location mismatched with the android phone settings. I haven't tried logging in on a different android device, but maybe that will work

Hi, Galaxy Note 10+ & I'm having the same issue. There is a serious problem with the app. Have tried all mentioned fixes as well as reseting my phone and reinstalling.

The first thing I would recommend is make sure you've shut down any applications running in the background. Next, please make sure your device software is up-to-date. If you're still running into issues after you've deleted and downloaded the PayPal app from that point, please reach out to our Customer Support teams for assistance.

Exactly. Same here. I'm using the Note 20 Ultra. Have you found what works yet? My phone is updated. I have Uninstalled and reinstalled paypal app, turned phone off & on. I log on get paypal with a browser, but not the app. VERY FRUSTRSTING.

Paypal app has been crashing after a few seconds for last 2 days. Tried all the usual; updated, uninstalled, cleared cache, etc. but still no joy. Worked fine until Saturday morning. Galaxy S23+.
