Argos pay in 3 have been charged twice but no orders placed.

I tried to place an order with Argos using PayPal pay in 3 I've used this many times without issue. It just took me back to the order page so I assumed it didn't work so did it again. Only to see the money has been taken from my bank and I now have two different PayPal pay in 3 plans being set up. No order is showing as placed with Argos so can't cancel the orders and there's no way to cancel the pay in 3s either. Has this happened to anyone else? Feel like I'm stuck paying for the same item twice now that I won't ever actually receive 😭.

What does it say on the transactions on your paypal account?

Mine just says pending. Its a lot of cash taken twice and with the goods being ordered

When you pay a company then it is often pending or awaiting authorisation until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process the order and capture that payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment and returns back to your funding source.

im sorry but waiting 30 days to have your money returned without ever placing a confirmed ordered is scandalous.  This is the last time i will use paypal pay in 3 ever again.
