Can I leave a deposit on a purchase using paypal interest free to reduce the monthly payments?

Hi I've been searching online for an answer but have found nothing but frustration. I'd like to buy a new amplifier. It costs £2000. There is 36 months interest free available on the purchase via PayPal, with payments of roughly £50p/m. What I would like to do is leave a deposit of £1000 and have monthly payments of roughly £25. Is this possible? If not I'm assuming taking out the 36 months interest free then immediately paying £1000 off the balance is possible but that would keep the monthly payments at roughly £50 whilst having the time taken to complete payment. Thanks for your help
