Pay in 3 money taken but cant place order

I was trying to purchase items on footlocker website using paypal credit. Logged in and authorised payment and put me back into the footlocker website to place an order, but it could not process it. However, first payment was taken from my account twice. Looked it up and it says pending and "This is a temporary authorisation to make sure your funding source will cover the payment. Your funding source will be charged when Pay in 3 completes your order." When will it take to clear this as I will not pay for an instalment when I dont even have the items?

Those authorizations will expire and drop off in a few days since orders failed. Authorizations are not completed charges. They’re just holds anticipating seller to capture it but if the seller can’t, they expire.
