PayPal Pay in 4 charged me the full amount

I selected the pay in 4 option and when I checked my bank account I seen that the whole amount has been took. This is very disappointing because it was unauthorized. There was no review page to see the details of my order. Is there a chance that the pay in 4 will still kick in ? Very unhappy right now

I am sorry to know that you've been charged in full for Pay in 4. Please be advised that when making a purchase with Pay in 4, we’ll conduct a pre-authorization hold on your specified payment method for an amount equal to the initial payment or one-fourth of your total transaction amount. This will show as a pending authorization within your PayPal Account Activity and also at your financial institution. Once you complete your purchase with Pay in 4 and the merchant ships your goods, the pending authorization will be removed and the initial payment will be withdrawn from your specified payment method. Please note, in some instances, your financial institution may take longer to remove the authorization after receiving the void request from PayPal. If the Pay in 4 transaction shows as completed on the activity page and the whole amount getting debited from your account after few days, please reach out to our Customer Support Team through the available contact options for further assistance.

Your templated response ignores the issue being described that I’ve also just had happen. There wasn’t a pre-authorization for the initial installment…the entire purchase price was deducted from our bank accounts when we selected and authorized the Pay in 4 option.

This has happened to me twice now with pay in 4, but this time I got the pay in 4 and the full payment waiting to be sent to the merchant when the merchant sends the order out for delivery. I believe these problems could be easily solved if there was an actual human to talk with and not just a fraud line. After this I probably won't use paypal anymore. I won't pay twice for the same order.
