Paypal Business App Freezing on iOS

the PayPal Business app on two different, newer iPhones (13 and a 14) using the latest iOS (17.0.3) is freezing immediately upon successfully logging in.  The account home screen freezes and won't move or interact.  

 

There is a growing Reddit thread about it but nothing here... anyone else experiencing this?

Yes mine too! It will either log me and do nothing or log me in and try to keep logging me in but app freezes both times. I tried reinstalling app, clearing my history and restarting my phone. App clearly needs an update. Hopefully it’s fixed soon.

I reported the problem to the PayPal Merchants Technical Team. I got an email from them this morning telling me they are working as quickly as possible to resolve the problem.

Paypal busines app is also freezing for me. Even after deleting and re installing. It is still stuck on the screen where is originally froze.

I downloaded the Paypal app for personal, there does not seem to be the same problem.

Having a similar issue, which I believe is the same root problem.

 

Starting a couple of days ago, it was caught in a loop with FaceID login. It would open the app, present the FaceID logo and after successfully logging in, would display the dashboard tab but then immediately display the FaceID login overlay, which would verify and then display the FaceID login overlay again, looping continuously.

 

Every so often, if I tried to open the app it would not show the FaceID login overlay, but would be completely hung, entirely unresponsive. This morning, after having this issue again (making the app completely unusable), I deleted the app entirely, rebooted, and then reinstalled from the App Store. No change. Went through that again, except this time after downloading I logged in but did not turn on FaceID, and now after logging in it just freezes and is unresponsive.

Same issue on iOS 16.3.1 except I can get the app to work if I delete and reinstall the app 3 times in a row and not allow Face ID or notifications. However once I leave the app and go back into it the same issues everyone else is experiencing return.

Same.   Perhaps about a week now for me.   iPhone SE 2022  iOS 17.0.3

Tried changing password, turning off fingerprint, changing passcode, deleting, hard reset of phone, re-installing, numerous times and nothing changes.  Still freezes and can't access anything.  I can access online that's all.
