Swedish Iphone 12 the Paypal Assistant in app sends me doesn't respond isn't working

On my Iphone 12 the Paypal Assistant in the app doesn't work - I am repeatedly sent there to explain my problem, but the problem is that it isn't working ...

I wonder if this is because my phone number is Swedish, where I am currently working and living. I don't want to delete the app and download again because of hassle and that the account will soon transfer to PayPal UK (apparently..) Has anyone elese had a problem with the 'assistant' in the app ?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You should really withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts / cancel any subscriptions and close the old Paypal account before you move countries. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved and may need to contact customer services for help to resolve things.

@kernowlass Thanks for taking the trouble to reply 😎  and yes - you are basically confirming my own suspicion that the region was a problem. The function isn't something I use,  I only noticed it now because I tried to ask a question and found I couldn't use that facility. It's annoying as I have work (mostly remotely) in the UK and get paid from there,  am still a UK taxpayer and citizen, so a UK bank account is necessary.

I am not expecting much change when we transit to Paypal UK from Paypal EU but I will just have to wait and see and handle it if a problem occurs further down the line.
