I received two Zettle card readers last week that both do not work, but show a Security Alert " the security sensor has been activated, and the device is now locked. Please call Zettle Customer Service." I have called them four times in the last 8 days, but they seem unable/unwilling to help. The only answer I get is that this has been escalted to Tech Support who has not come back yet. Reading that others had similar experiences and did not get any support I'm wondering what is going on here. Will there ever be help? Or is the better option to return them and get the money back? Thank you.

I understand your Zettle Card Readers arrived unusable, and I'm sorry to hear that. Regrettably, working with Customer Support would be the best option to troubleshoot the issue. We have a few troubleshooting steps on our Help Center here, but for this specific message, I believe a replacement will most likely be issued.
I hope you receive an update on your Zettle Card Readers soon!

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE! My reader is brand new, and giving me a security Code 2 lockout....absolutely unacceptable.

I would recommend you to contact our PayPal Zettle Team so that that the specialist will be able to guide you accordingly to have the issues with card reader to be resolved quickly. Yup, absolute garbage....will be going on my 3rd reader now. Longtime Paypal user here (over 23 years!!!!) looks like its time for a change!
Have been on hold now on two different phones trying to get through to CS, getting no where.
