When requesting money, the sender will be sending the payment as Goods and Services unless they themselves have and use the option to send as a Friends and Family payment. If they do, they will pay any associated fees. However, if the payment is meant to be for goods and/or services, it must be a Goods and Services payment. This is required for any type of purchase payment, and it is the only way that you and the buyer will be protected.
