PayPal off her spend 20 using the app get $10 credit back

Hello I wonder if anybody had an issue like I did. Apparently if you download the PayPal app on your phone and spend $20 at CVS, you will get a $10 credit back from PayPal. I went to do that and CVS said they were blindsided with what this was all about. It pulls up a QR code, and they have no way to scan it it just beeps. So I did not get my credit

Reading the terms, it says, “Purchases made with a Valid Account using PayPal QR code functionality at participating CVS stores (“Eligible Purchases”).” 

“Available at stand-alone CVS locations only, not valid at CVS locations inside Target stores. Excludes any purchases of lottery, prepaid gift cards, licenses, money orders, money transfers, and CarePass enrollments.”

So the CVS has be participating in the offer.

And, “If an Eligible Purchase is refunded, results in a failed capture, or otherwise does not complete during the Offer Period, that Eligible Purchase will not qualify for earning the Reward.”

So best to ask the store first about their participation before checking out.

Paid for $20 in Lowe’s Gift cards... you think that’s the issue?

yes terms say you will not get the reward for certain items. I believe a gift card is one, but the payment should have worked and still scanned and charged to your paypal. they just do not know how to ring it up.

You do not get a credit to your account. You are supposed to get a REWARD voucher showing under your OFFERS in your account, but there is no such thing. There is an OFFERS and deals for shopping. It is supposed to apply to your next paypal checkout purchase anywhere, but I heard it is a coupon that most will not accept.  I was successful at the initial purchase. Look at the credit card machine. If it says paypal, you know they accept that. Pull up the QR on your app and simply ask them to scan at payment screen with the hand scanner. NOT as a giftcard or coupon, just scan. That is not the hard part unfortunately is finding the reward after your purchase. Good luck
