Paypal Pay in 4 Pending Authorizations-Duplicate or normal?

So I just used pay in 4 to make a purchase and it has 2 pending authorizations listed in my activity. One is for the Paypal pay in 4 amount ($27) and one is listed under the merchant's name for the total purchase amount ($128 or whatever). I saw in the help topics that it's normal to see a pending authorization for the total amount, but I just wanted to make sure that to see both of these in activity is normal and isn't me being charged twice, once for the total and once for the first installment.  Does anyone know? Thank you!

Thanks for posting your question in PayPal's Community Forum! I can assure you that it is normal to see both amounts as a pending authorization. Once the initial down payment appears as "completed" in your PayPal Activity, you will notice that the pending authorizations will be removed.
