Sending Money With Prepaid PayPal Cards

I was wondering if I could use one of the pre-paid PayPal cards at Walmart to send money to someone's account. I dont own a credit or debt card nor do I have a bank, so the only way i can really digitally send money is with a pre-paid card. If I can use those, is there any other solution I can use to send money to someone?

Well, no because Prepaid PayPal Cards can’t be linked to your PayPal account through the wallet page, so you can’t select it when sending money.

The card is sorta separate and allows you to transfer PayPal balance funds to the PayPal prepaid card for in-store use or for adding the card at a merchant website’s who do not accept PayPal, like Amazon.

Don’t know if this still works, but the card comes with a bank account with direct deposit abilities (incoming/bill paying) so once you activate the card, get your identification verified and linked to your existing PayPal account, add the card’s direct deposit bank account/routing number to your PayPal account’s wallet page to use as bank account. When adding funds to your PayPal account, select that bank account to add the funds on the card to your PayPal balance to send money with.

Alternatively, since you don’t have credit/debit card or bank account, I presume your PayPal account is not verified nor is it PayPal Cash account ready (you can’t hold/spend money in/from the account).

If there is no money awaiting to be accepted in your PayPal account to set up PayPal Cash features, sign up for the PayPal Cash Card. As a result, you then have ability to add cash to your PayPal Cash account balance with the Cash Card or through the PayPal app at Walmart or other retailers and finally use your PayPal balance to send money. Retailers may apply a fee to add money to your PayPal account. It’s $3 at Walmart.

It’s complicated because account verification is important these days so one cannot really take full advantage of PayPal features without existing financial info to more easily verify your PayPal account so ya have go to through all these steps.

By the way, you have to be 18 and over to use any of PayPal’s services, it’s a restricted activity and will result in a ban.

Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂
